New Celtics excel at Rookie Day

Today the Leeds Celtics held its annual Rookie Day. With an enthusiastic turnout of new faces, the day started off with introductory drills and basic techniques to get rookies safely up to speed. Rookies were put through their paces, tackling, blocking and running. This was quickly followed up by two full sessions of scripted live scrimmages with offense and defense kitted and ready to make an impression. There were big plays made on both sides of the ball, with big yards made by the offense as well as a couple of interceptions and huge tackles coming from the defense. The day was rounded off by a inspiring talk by the coaches looking ahead to the prospect of the following season.
