Leeds Varsity Raises Money

As well as representing an important sports fixture in the calendar, the Leeds Varsity game this year became something more. Despite the bad result for the Leeds University Celtics, around £500 was raised for the local charity candlelighters. A huge turnout to the game, one of the biggest in recent history for the Celtics, ensured great support for both the team and their charity. Next years game promises to be even bigger, when the Celtics travel to Carnegies home ground for the next round!
